This Downton Grey Painted Extra Large Kitchen Island has an oak bar table top that seats 5 bar stools (2 bar stools on the side and 3 bar stools on the back). The top can be positioned in either a left or right side over-hang allowing you to configure it to suit your kitchens layout.

There is a 300mm over-hang on the back and on one side to allow for comfortable bar stool seating. This kitchen island is certainly a statement piece and will become the focal point of any family kitchen. Combining the benefits of a kitchen island and a dining table this is the perfect storage and dining solution.

It can also be moved around to suit your needs unlike fixed kitchen islands. This kitchen island provides huge amounts of storage space. On the front side there are three large drawers, four solid oak crates and a two door cupboard. The back of the island has two sliding cupboard doors giving access the full internal storage shelf area. The drawers have easy open heavy duty metal drawer runners and there are adjustable height feet to allow you to level the island on uneven floors.

The kitchen island base is painted in a warm light grey colour with a satin paint finish and the 40mm thick oak top has a natural oak colouring, the oak top has a protective satin lacquered finish that is both hardwearing and maintenance free. The Downton Grey is a beautifully warm neutral grey that looks great against natural pastel and darker contrasting wall's. This item is supplied with elegant chrome metal handles.

The drawers have cup style handles and the doors have matching round handles. The contrasting chrome metal handles really finish off the furniture and perfectly compliment the design.

They give it an attractive feel that is both at home in a modern or traditional setting and these chrome handles are seen on many luxurious painted kitchens nowadays. This kitchen island is skilfully hand made with traditional time honoured construction methods. The oak top is made with high quality North American solid oak for top outer frame and has thick oak veneered central panels for increased stability and durability over time.

The base section uses solid pine for the body frame and drawer internals and man-made board is used in the panels for increased durability and to prevent any shrinkage over time. For your peace of mind all our oak and painted furniture is built using timbers sourced from sustainable forests. The Downton Grey painted range has a simple yet stylish design that makes this range stand out from the rest, with the grey painted bodies, 40mm thick oak tops and tapered feet.

Not only is it beautiful to look at it is backed up by its premium quality. It is equally at home in both a modern home as it is a traditional country cottage due to the timeless clean styling.

You can't say fairer than that. It is delivered in two boxes (top in one box and base in another box).

The base comes fully assembled and the top is simply bolted into place from underneath. This item has a minimum box width of 90cm and will not fit through internal house doors. Due to the heavy weight of this item it cannot be carried upstairs and can only be handled using a trolley. This furniture does not require any maintenance and is designed to live on for generations to come. Please note as with all oak tops we do not recommend placing any hot plates or pans directly onto the oak top surface. Always use place mats and drinks mats. If liquid is spilt then always dry it off immediately to prevent any staining.
