Strong as the bases are made with wood not the usual standard flimsy cardboard. This item is in need of attention as there is damage to one of the wooden corner posts but could be easily remedied just trying to be honest. Other than that it's in overall good used condition associated with second hand furniture. This chest of drawers is now dismantled tor easy transportation.
It would fit in most estate cars or suv's with the seats down but check dimensions below to make sure. Assembly instructions are available on the IKEA website however it is quite self explanatory.
