Mid 20th Century Everest Large 7ft Teak Sideboard with Cupboards and Drawers

  

This is a large teak sideboard made in the United Kingdom by Everest and probably dating from the 1960s or thereabouts. The sideboard has two double door cupboards each with a single adjustable wooden shelf to the inside and a bank of three drawers to the centre. The top drawer has a sliding removable cutlery tray which is lined with green felt or similar material. The drawers and cupboard doors all have brass or similar metal knobs or handles.

Approximate overall dimensions are 221.5cm (87.25") in width, 43cm (17") in depth and 71cm (28) in height. The sideboard is in good overall condition for its age with no loose joints or other structural damage but does have a few signs of cosmetic wear. There is a small chip to the veneer to the bottom rear corner of the right-hand side as shown in the twenty second photo below. There are also a few other marks and scratches to the outer surfaces as illustrated in the close up photos below.

Internally the cupboards and drawers have some marks and stains from previous usage mainly to the base of the right-hand cupboard which may have been used for drinks/bottle storage and to the base of the top drawer and inner sides of the cutlery tray.
