Victorian mahogany large chest of drawers

  
A beautiful antique chest of drawers, circa 1900, which has had some refurbishment. Five graduated drawers, in a two over three formation.

Solid mahogany frame and sides, with fine veneers on the base section, the drawer fronts and the top. Stands on black bun feet at the front, wedges at the rear. Drawers are in good clean condition, and they work well, with runners and stops. Not sure if the matching knobs are original but they are in fitting with the style and the age.

The veneers are in good condition, with a few small repairs, but I have deliberately left patina and minor wear. The top itself, and the edge banding are very good, and have been French polished. The rest of the piece has been waxed. Overall, a very attractive, large chest of drawers, in very usable condition.

Dimensions: H 50 inches; W47 inches; D22 inches. The lower drawer heights externally are 9, 10 and 11 inches. Scotland and Central London, as well as stairs etc, may cost more. This item is in the category "Home, Furniture & DIY\Furniture\Chests of Drawers".
